Designing Floodplain and Tidal Marsh Habitat in Yolo Bypass through Berm Removal

This award will improve flood conveyance, increase groundwater recharge, promote recreational opportunities, and enhance fish and wildlife habitat in Yolo Bypass. The project will finalize designs to restore 700 acres of floodplain and 250 acres of wetland through berm removal and site excavation, create 700 acres of floodwater storage, and increase groundwater recharge potential producing quality habitat for salmonids.
