National Coastal Resilience Fund

Awards Funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

The National Coastal Resilience Fund is a partnership between the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and NOAA to enhance fish and wildlife habitat and protect coastal communities. The focus for these projects is on restoring, increasing, and strengthening natural infrastructure to protect communities while also enhancing habitats for fish and wildlife. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law boosts funding to this highly effective and collaborative coastal resilience program which is also supported by the Inflation Reduction Act, base appropriations, Department of Defense, and other partner contributions.

By the Numbers

2024
The National Coastal Resilience Fund invested $139 million across 94 coastal resilience projects awarded in November, $96 million of which comes from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

2023
The National Coastal Resilience Fund invested $189 million across 136 coastal resilience projects awarded in October and November. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law supported funding for $93.7 million in projects, and the Inflation Reduction Act supported funding for $44.7 million in projects.

2022
The National Coastal Resilience Fund invested $144 million across 96 coastal resilience projects awarded in August and November. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law supported funding of $93.7 million for these highly competitive projects.
